BADA AG - Badamid - Badamid – premium properties for universal implementation options

Badamid is a product group in its own right. These thermoplastic construction materials based on polyamide (PA6, PA6.6, copolyamide PA6.6/6 and partly aromatic PA6/PA6T) feature outstanding, versatile properties. Besides their exceptional mechanical strength and high thermal resistance, polyamides also demonstrate good toughness at low temperatures and favourable friction and abrasion behaviour. Badamid has proven its worth in a variety of technical sectors, e.g. for machine elements, in the electrical, electronic and automobile industry and for construction, furniture-making and leisure applications. Badamid can be further processed by all conventional moulding processes. Advanced modifications to customer specification in respect of reinforcement, toughness, ease of processing, flammability and colour can be realized with excellent results.

Badamid A Badamid A are PA6.6-based materials. They melt at 262 °C. Besides high thermal stability, polyamide 6.6 is characterised by a high level of hardness, abrasion resistance and rigidity. It is often used in machine and automobile construction where prefabricated components are exposed to high mechanical and thermal stresses.	Online product table
Badamid B Badamid B are PA6-based materials. They melt at 222 °C. Typical of PA6 is a high degree of toughness and easy processing. It produces parts with a good damping capability that are also highly shock-resistant when dry and in cold conditions.	Online product table

Badamid T Specialties based on partly aromatic co-polyamides (PA6/6T) that, due to their high melting temperature of 295 °C feature a very high thermal resistance. Even after moisture absorption, mechanical properties remain constant up to 60°. Further benefits include high rigidity, toughness and dimensional stability.	Online product table
Badamid L Badamid L are licensed products manufactured on the basis of Ultramid®. These products are fixed in their manufacturing technique, raw material and formula composition and specification by licence agreement with BASF SE. Bespoke colour variations are possible. Badamid PA12 Badamid PA12 are compounds which offer an increased toughness as well as a very good chemical resistance. At the same time, they stand out due to the lowest water absorption among all polyamides.	Online product table
Badamid PA612 Badamid PA612 is suitable for applications where Badamid PA12 can not be used any more cause of the lower melting point. Badamid PA612 is melting approximatly 30°C higher by having almost the same chemical resistance.	Online product table
Badamid PA610 The product range Badamid PA610 has very similar properties as Badamid PA612 has. It is based on sebacin acid and therefore creates a new product class, based on alternative raw materials. Badamid PA610 has a slightly higher melting point compared to Badamid PA612 and has an approximatly 10% higher tensile strength.	Online product table
Badamid PPA Badamid PPA are materials based on terephthalic acid and diamines. PPA is a high-temperature material. Especially reinforced grades are very heat-resistant and characterized by a high heat deformation resistance. The material can even replace metal parts and is therefore suitable for structural elements.	Online product table
Badamid PA10T Badamid PA10T is a high-temperature polyamide. Compared to conventional polyamides, it presents a very low water absorption and a higher impact strength. Elements made of PA10T are characterized by a particularly high-quality surface.	Online product table
