Badamid PA12 - premium properties for universal implementation options
Badamid PA12 belongs to the group of partially crystalline thermoplastics based on laurolactam. PA12 is the polyamide with the lowest hygroscipicity. In addition, PA12 stands out for its high impact resistance and its comparatively good chemical resistance.
This results in typical applications like brake and fuel lines; medical engineering and housing technology are further fields of application. Excellent abrasion and sliding properties as well as high weathering resistance perfect PA12’s favourable properties. Thus, PA12 is well suited for bearing and drive units in a humid environment requiring a high degree of dimensional stability and media resistance.
Within the Badamid PA12 product group, Bada offers plasticized types (PA12 FM-Z). They are used when high impact resistance and high strain values at low temperatures are required.
