Badatech HT - High Tech Plastics at their Best
The Badatech HT product line represents the peak of the plastics pyramid and unites all marketable high temperature polymers in one product group, including PEEK, a partially crystalline thermoplastic.
This material can be applied for continuous operating temperatures of up to 250-260°C. Another key property is its inherent halogen-free flame resistance without the addition of flame retardants and its low smoke density, which is a must for applications in the railway and aviation sector. Combustion will not cause any toxic emissions. Further essential properties are its chemical resistance, low tendency to creep, excellent dimensional accuracy, radiation resistance, biocompatibility, dyeability, and sterilizability.
Using additives can further enhance its good properties in the following areas:
- Wear resistance
- Thermal conductivity
- Electrical conductivity
- Laser markability
- Lightweight construction
Badatech HT is well-suited for applications in the sectors automotive (gear wheels, plain bearings, pump parts), mechanical engineering (metering pistons), medical devices/engineering (operating theatres, housings and containers, short-term implants, surgical and dental instruments), aviation, and E/E.
